    I hope you guys are getting the cats spayed and neutered it's very important! There are thousands of them being put down even healthy kittens being killed in the shelters everyday because there's not enough homes for them so it's imperative that we get them spayed and neutered and not let them breed

      We could, but we have too many predators. They are able to free range and avoid predators (most of the time) because they can fly.

    I am in Wisconsin zone 4b and my little box garden was mostly sorrowful. We had too much rain and too early of heat. My root veg rotted or split, my peas got a fungus, my tomatoes have blight, something ate the leaves off the bottom 2/3 of my peppers, those japanese beetles are having a heyday and we had a bunch of bunnies munching on all my flowers and chipmunks digging up my flower roots. I did spray the pole beans and salvaged them. The joy is my tea and herb beds. Plentiful and looking forward to using my dried herbs and teas all winter long, and we have a loooong winter up here. Thanks for sharing your beautiful gardens.

    • @1000sofroots
      @1000sofroots 4 дня назад

    Such a lovely episode guys! Your garden is looking lovely and it sounds like it has been a really productive year. Your banana spiders look a lot like what we call golden orbs here in Australia, though they might be an entirely different species; my spider knowledge isn't amazing! We are coming into spring and our veggie garden was looking wonderful but one of our goats got in. Was a shame but oh well, he will make a good, nourishing curry at least. We were hoping to get a fence up for our main crop area before now for all the big sprawling plants like pumpkins, cucumbers, melons, etc., but we didn't manage it, and I seem to have been filling up beds with flowers in the meantime. Whoops! But they are so beautiful. xx

    You can dehydrate the bell peppers. Grind them, and have pepper powder. Add thm to salt and have a bell pepper salt.

  • @Cynthia-pf4hm
    @Cynthia-pf4hm 7 дней назад

    If you like stuffed bell peppers; I halve mine, clean out the seeds, and freeze them on a cookie sheet. When they're solidly frozen; I put them into freezer bags. They sort of cup into each other, so a lot will fit into a bag. Since they were originally frozen separately, they'll stay separate. Sometimes, I'll add the filling and freeze them that way also.

    The sweets are beautiful❗️ San Marzano are my favorite. Been growing them for a couple decades. Can you talk about what you do with the Moringa? I have used the oil on my skin and I know of others that use it internally for arthritis. I love hibiscus tea. I slice peppers and freeze for future fajitas, stuffed pepper soup, and omelets. I have to put small cages (actually wire trash cans from dollar tree) over my strawberry plants to keep the squirrels from eating them. Maybe Josh could build some tall cylinders with chicken wire to go over those green beans to keep the muscovy away. Best of luck! God bless.
